"On the day of the eclipse, our family took shirts, painted them with cyanotype, and left them in the fading sun with mason-jar lids on them to represent the moon. When they were finished, we washed them off." —Clement
"To commemorate the solar eclipse, we made cyanotype shirts.  We made these by putting cyanotype fluid on the shirts. Next, we placed Mason Jar lids and plants on top. The sun changed the color of the cyanotype, except where it was in shadow. Once the color was dark blue, we rinsed the shirts and washed them." —Ruth.
